Letter to President Mills from NYC Electeds in Support of paid Family Leave for NYU Adjunct Faculty
34 New York City elected officials have sent a letter to NYU President Linda Mills calling on the university to provide Paid Family Leave to adjunct faculty.
The letter was signed by NYC Public Advocate Jumaane Williams, more than half of the City Council, and the Borough Presidents of Manhattan and Brooklyn, where NYU has its NYC campuses, and was sent by Council Member Tiffany Cabán on behalf of the signers. Thank you to the letter signers!

On September 15th, members of the NYU Adjuncts Union delivered a letter demanding Paid Family Leave signed by a representative group of adjuncts across campus. Now, over 1,000 NYU Adjunct Faculty have signed on as well. The more of us who come together and add our names, the more power we have to ensure that we win this PFL for our colleagues and their families.
