On September 15 the NYU Adjuncts Union delivered a Representative Letter to President Linda Mills requesting Paid Family Leave. This is a basic contractual right! It’s time for adjuncts to have Paid Family Leave. We encourage all NYU Adjuncts to sign on to this letter.

What is paid family leave?

PFL gives workers up to 12 weeks of paid,
job-protected leave to:

  • Bond with a new child

  • Care for an ill family member

  • Support loved ones during military deployment

  • Includes continued health insurance, job security and protection from retaliation.
