Article X, the reappointment rights provision in our contract, is the crux of the job security that adjunct faculty at NYU have. Understanding how it works, where interpretations of the Article are contested by the union and the university, and what it might look like in the future is essential for our members, especially as we look toward our next contract negotiations.

Join us for this Member Town Hall to understand the current state of Article X - its strengths and weaknesses, the record number of grievances that we’ve filed over attempts to subvert it - and what it could look like in the future, as we prepare for bargaining in 2028. Most importantly, this will be an opportunity to share your point of view and engage with fellow members.
