Your baseload is the number of courses (sections) you have consistently carried. Path 1 adds up the courses in your two busiest semesters (Fall, Winter, Spring or Summer) for each of the last 2 academic years, then takes the lower yearly total. Path 2 takes one semester in each of the last 4 academic years (it can be a different semester each year) and uses the lowest count. A year with fewer than 40 total contact hours does not qualify for a course load, so a path cannot use it. If a member qualifies for Path 1 (courses in 2 semesters in each of the last 2 years), Path 1 sets the baseload. Path 2 applies only when Path 1 does not. In both paths the baseload is the lowest consistent number across the years. The first year listed is treated as the most recent. If your agreement defines this differently, tell me and I will adjust.
